Super Mario Bros. Enhanced was originally based on the game Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The hack was previously known as Super Mario Bros. DX, but was upgraded and updated to work on modern emulators. The hack update also features some glitch fixes including the noted audio problems of the first hack. The hack did not change the gameplay and levels of the DX hack, and features several remade levels of the classic game with the graphics of SMB3, along with two new worlds to explore.
